About Manny Kester
My name is Immanuel Kester, but most people just call me Manny. I'm passionate about design, whether that's the checkout flow of an ecommerce website, the usability of a kitchen layout, or the mini allen ratchet that came packaged with my bed frame.
Since 2001, I've served various design roles, including 15+ years in the DTC ecommerce space. During this time, I had the great pleasure of leading and managing a dynamic team of designers, artists, and photographers in the execution of numerous creative marketing, product, and user experience initiatives. This team humbled me, inspired me, challenged me, and went to war with me. I am indebted to each of them, as well as to several instrumental role models, for how they've shaped my leadership approach.

In addition to managing and executing various complex e-commerce products and interactive solutions, I've also designed and directed a wide assortment of marketing materials over the years, including direct mail, brochures, t-shirts, emails, landing pages, billboards, journals, magazine ads, web banners, and more.

I am currently seeking a new opportunity to lead product and UX initiatives within an organization that values delighting users through well designed, data-driven interactive experiences. While my experience is largely in the e-commerce and DTC industries, I am more than willing to apply my leadership, design, and problem solving expertise to other industries and business verticals.

Good design is actually a lot harder to notice than poor design, in part because good designs fit our needs so well that the design is invisible.
